4. Eligibility
WanderSwipe is intended solely for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age.
By creating an account or using the Platform, you represent and warrant that:

We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we become aware that a user is under 18 years of age, we may suspend or permanently terminate the account, delete associated information, and restrict access to the Platform.

5.2 Authentication Information
Depending on how you register, we may collect information associated with email and password registration, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. Where applicable, authentication providers may share limited account information necessary to facilitate login and account creation.
5.3 User Profile Information
Users may voluntarily provide profile photos, interests and hobbies, travel preferences, trip history, public profile information, personal descriptions, and preferences relating to travel experiences. Information you choose to make public may be visible to other users.
5.4 User Generated Content
We may collect content submitted through the Platform, including trip posts, destination reviews, comments, reactions and likes, private messages, voice notes, videos, images, documents, files, travel itineraries, event-related content, and reports submitted to WanderSwipe. Such content may be stored, processed, reviewed, moderated, and displayed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
5.5 Organizer Verification Information
Individuals seeking approval as organizers may be required to provide additional information, including email verification, phone verification, PAN information, GST information, business information, government-issued identification, licenses or permits, social verification information, and additional supporting documents. Verification requirements may change over time at WanderSwipe's discretion.
5.6 Location Information
With your permission, WanderSwipe may collect location information from your device, including precise location, approximate location, GPS coordinates, and device-derived location information. Location information is used for destination recommendations, trip discovery, personalized travel suggestions, safety and fraud prevention, and improving user experience.
- WanderSwipe uses location for recommendations and discovery.
- WanderSwipe does not display precise GPS coordinates to other users.
- WanderSwipe does not use location for nearby-user matching.
- WanderSwipe does not publicly expose user locations.
5.7 Device and Technical Information
When you use the Platform, we may automatically collect: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, device type, operating system, app version, language settings, time zone, network information, crash reports, diagnostic information, and usage statistics.
5.8 Analytics Information
We may collect information regarding how users interact with the Platform, including pages viewed, features used, session duration, click patterns, navigation behavior, and engagement metrics. This information helps us improve our products and services.
6. How We Use Information
WanderSwipe uses the information we collect for legitimate business, operational, legal, security, and user experience purposes.
6.1 Provide the Platform
We use your information to create and manage user accounts, authenticate users, enable login functionality, provide access to Platform features, display user profiles, facilitate communication between users, facilitate interactions between users and organizers, and manage trip participation.
6.2 Personalize User Experience
We may use information to recommend destinations, trips, and travel content, improve content relevance, and personalize user experiences. Recommendations may be based on user preferences, travel interests, user activity, content interactions, location preferences, and historical engagement.
6.3 Facilitate Organizer Verification
Information may be used to verify organizer identities, review organizer applications, evaluate organizer eligibility, detect fraudulent organizers, monitor compliance requirements, and investigate organizer misconduct.
6.4 Provide Customer Support
We may use information to respond to inquiries, resolve disputes, investigate complaints, provide technical support, and improve customer service quality.
6.5 Improve and Develop Services
We may analyze information to understand user behavior, improve functionality, fix bugs, improve performance, develop new features, and test product improvements. This analysis may be performed using aggregated, anonymized, or pseudonymized information where appropriate.
6.6 Protect Users and the Platform
Information may be used to detect spam, fake accounts, and fraudulent activity, prevent abuse, enforce Platform policies, investigate suspicious behavior, protect users and organizers, and maintain Platform integrity.

7. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing
WanderSwipe may use artificial intelligence, machine learning technologies, and automated systems to improve the Platform and enhance user safety.
7.1 Recommendation Systems
Automated systems may be used to recommend destinations, trips, and travel content, improve discovery experiences, and personalize feeds and suggestions based on interests, user interactions, content engagement, travel preferences, and Platform activity.
7.2 Content Moderation
WanderSwipe may use automated tools to detect spam, abusive content, harmful content, and policy violations, and identify suspicious activity. Automated systems may flag content for review. Final enforcement decisions may involve human review.
7.3 Image Review
Images uploaded to the Platform may be analyzed using automated systems to detect inappropriate content, improve image quality, verify authenticity, and reduce spam and fake accounts.
7.4 Fraud Detection
Automated systems may be used to identify fake profiles, fraudulent organizers, suspicious transactions, Platform abuse, and security threats. These systems help protect users and maintain trust in the Platform.
7.5 No Solely Automated Decisions
WanderSwipe does not generally make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing. Where significant decisions are made, WanderSwipe may conduct additional review before taking action.
8. Communications and Marketing
WanderSwipe may communicate with users through various channels.
8.1 Service Communications
We may send communications necessary to operate the Platform, including password reset messages, security notifications, account-related communications, policy updates, service announcements, and technical notices. These communications are generally required for operation of the Platform.
8.2 Trip and Recommendation Communications
We may send information regarding trip opportunities, destination recommendations, travel inspiration, relevant Platform activity, and feature announcements.
8.3 Marketing Communications

Where relevant, organizers may receive information reasonably necessary to manage trip participation, verify bookings, communicate regarding trips, and fulfill organizer obligations. Information shared may vary depending on the nature of the trip or service.
9.4 Legal Compliance
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect users, protect public safety, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, or defend legal claims.
9.5 Business Transfers
If WanderSwipe undergoes an acquisition, merger, corporate restructuring, investment transaction, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to applicable law.
9.6 Protection of Rights
We may disclose information when necessary to protect WanderSwipe, protect users, investigate misconduct, enforce policies, or prevent illegal activity.
10. User Generated Content and Public Information
WanderSwipe allows users to create, upload, publish, share, and interact with content, including profile information, profile photographs, trip posts, reviews, comments, travel itineraries, images, videos, voice notes, messages, destination-related content, event-related content, and other content submitted through the Platform.
10.1 Public Content
Certain information may be publicly visible to other users of the Platform, including username, profile photograph, bio, travel interests, public posts, reviews, comments, and public trip content. Users should carefully consider what information they choose to make publicly available.
10.2 Responsibility for Content
Users remain solely responsible for content they upload, publish, or share through the Platform. Users represent and warrant that they own or control the rights to submitted content; content does not violate applicable laws or infringe third-party rights; and content is accurate and not misleading.
10.3 License Granted to WanderSwipe
By uploading content to the Platform, users grant WanderSwipe a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to store, display, reproduce, distribute, process, modify for technical purposes, and use content to operate and improve the Platform. This license continues only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform and fulfill legal obligations.
10.4 Content Removal
WanderSwipe may remove, restrict, disable, or review content that violates laws, violates Platform policies, is fraudulent, misleading, abusive, harmful to users, or creates safety concerns. Removal decisions may be made with or without prior notice.
11. Organizer Verification and Compliance
WanderSwipe may offer organizer accounts that allow approved users to organize, promote, or manage trips and travel-related experiences.
11.1 Verification Process
To improve trust and safety, organizers may be required to complete verification procedures including email verification, phone verification, PAN verification, GST verification, business verification, social verification, identity verification, manual review, and additional documentation. Verification requirements may vary depending on circumstances.
11.2 Ongoing Compliance
Approved organizers may be required to maintain compliance with applicable laws, tax obligations, licensing requirements, Platform policies, and safety requirements. Failure to maintain compliance may result in restrictions or removal.
11.3 Organizer Monitoring
WanderSwipe may monitor organizer activity for fraud prevention, user safety, policy compliance, service quality, and risk management. Monitoring may include review of reports, complaints, disputes, communications, and verification information.
11.4 Organizer Suspension or Removal
WanderSwipe may suspend, restrict, reject, or remove an organizer for reasons including false information, fraudulent activity, invalid verification documents, misrepresentation, repeated complaints, harassment, safety concerns, policy violations, illegal activity, or failure to maintain required permits or licenses. Organizer approval is a privilege and may be revoked at WanderSwipe's discretion.
11.5 No Guarantee
Verification is intended to increase trust but does not constitute a guarantee of safety, reliability, legality, professional qualifications, trip quality, or service quality. Users remain responsible for evaluating organizers and exercising appropriate judgment.
12. Payments and Financial Information
WanderSwipe may facilitate payments for certain services, bookings, trips, memberships, subscriptions, or other offerings.
12.1 Payment Processing
Payments may be processed through third-party payment service providers. When payments are enabled, users may be required to provide payment information, billing information, transaction information, and tax-related information where applicable. WanderSwipe generally does not store complete payment card information. Such information is typically handled by payment processors subject to their own privacy practices.
12.2 Organizer Payouts
WanderSwipe may collect payments from users and distribute applicable amounts to organizers. Organizer payouts may be subject to verification requirements, compliance checks, fraud reviews, tax obligations, and applicable Platform policies.
12.3 Fraud Prevention
Payment-related information may be used to detect fraud, investigate suspicious transactions, verify identity, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
12.4 Future Payment Features
As the Platform evolves, WanderSwipe may introduce subscriptions, featured listings, organizer fees, marketplace services, and additional payment-related functionality. Additional terms may apply to such services.
13. Data Retention
WanderSwipe retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
13.1 Active Accounts
Information may be retained while an account remains active. Retention periods may vary depending on type of information, user activity, legal obligations, security requirements, and business needs.
13.2 Deleted Accounts
When a user deletes an account, public profile visibility is removed and access to the account is disabled. Certain information may remain in backups, which may be retained for up to one (1) year for purposes including security, fraud prevention, disaster recovery, legal compliance, and technical operations.
13.3 Legal Retention
Certain information may be retained for longer periods where required by law, court orders, regulatory obligations, tax requirements, fraud investigations, or dispute resolution.
13.4 Anonymized Information
WanderSwipe may retain aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information indefinitely for analytical, research, and business purposes.
14. Security Measures
WanderSwipe takes reasonable measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
14.1 Security Controls
Security measures may include access controls, encryption where appropriate, monitoring systems, security reviews, authentication safeguards, infrastructure protections, and fraud detection systems.
14.2 Employee and Contractor Access

Although WanderSwipe strives to protect information, no security system is completely secure. Accordingly, WanderSwipe cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed through unauthorized means.
15. User Rights and Account Deletion
WanderSwipe respects user privacy and provides users with certain rights regarding their personal information, subject to applicable law.
15.1 Access to Information
Users may request access to personal information that WanderSwipe maintains about them, including categories of information collected, sources of information, purposes of processing, categories of recipients, and information associated with the user's account.
15.2 Correction of Information
Users may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information. Users are encouraged to keep account information accurate and up to date. Certain profile information may also be updated directly through account settings.
15.3 Deletion of Information
Users may request deletion of their personal information through the Profile section (if available), support channels, or privacy requests. Following a valid deletion request, the account will be disabled or removed, public visibility of the profile will cease, and information will be scheduled for deletion in accordance with our retention practices.
15.4 Withdrawal of Consent
Where processing is based on consent, users may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn. Certain features may no longer function if consent is withdrawn.
15.5 Restriction of Processing
Where permitted by applicable law, users may request restriction of certain processing activities. WanderSwipe will review such requests and respond as required by law.
15.6 Response Time
WanderSwipe aims to respond to privacy-related requests within thirty (30) days. Additional time may be required where requests are complex or numerous.
15.7 Account Deletion and Content
Deletion of an account does not automatically remove comments posted by the user, reviews submitted by the user, messages already delivered to other users, or content retained for legal purposes. Where practical and legally permissible, such content may be anonymized or removed.
16. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
WanderSwipe may use cookies and similar technologies to improve the Platform and provide a better user experience.
16.1 What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on a user's device. They help websites and applications remember information about users and their interactions.
16.2 Types of Cookies We May Use
- Essential Cookies: Used to maintain sessions, authenticate users, provide security features, and operate core functionality. These cookies are generally necessary for operation of the Platform.
- Analytics Cookies: Used to understand usage patterns, measure performance, improve features, and analyze engagement. Analytics information may be aggregated and anonymized where appropriate.
- Preference Cookies: Used to remember language settings, user preferences, Platform settings, and personalization choices.
- Future Advertising Cookies: If WanderSwipe introduces advertising features in the future, cookies and similar technologies may be used to measure campaign performance, improve relevance of advertisements, and prevent advertising fraud. 16.3 Managing Cookies
Most browsers allow users to view, delete, block, and control cookie preferences. Disabling cookies may affect certain Platform features.

WanderSwipe is currently intended primarily for users located in India. However, the Platform may be accessed from other countries.
17.1 International Access
Users accessing the Platform from outside India do so voluntarily and at their own discretion. Such users are responsible for compliance with local laws applicable to their use of the Platform.
17.2 Cross-Border Processing
Information may be processed, stored, or accessed in jurisdictions outside a user's place of residence. Such processing may occur when service providers operate infrastructure across multiple jurisdictions.
17.3 Safeguards
Where cross-border transfers occur, WanderSwipe will take reasonable steps to ensure that information receives an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable legal requirements.

WanderSwipe may disclose information where necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect users and the Platform.

Information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to protect users, protect organizers, protect WanderSwipe, investigate fraud, prevent harm, enforce agreements, or respond to emergencies.
18.3 Investigations
WanderSwipe may preserve information and cooperate with lawful investigations relating to fraud, harassment, abuse, safety incidents, illegal activity, and policy violations.
19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
WanderSwipe may modify or update this Privacy Policy from time to time due to new features, legal developments, regulatory requirements, operational changes, or security improvements.

21. India Data Protection – DPDPA 2023 Compliance
WanderSwipe is operated from India and processes personal data of individuals located in India. Accordingly, WanderSwipe acts as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDPA") and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 ("DPDP Rules"), notified by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) on 13 November 2025.
21.1 Data Fiduciary Designation
WanderSwipe (operated from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India) is the Data Fiduciary responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing personal data collected through the Platform. Until a formal legal entity is incorporated, the owners and operators of WanderSwipe assume all obligations of a Data Fiduciary under the DPDPA.
21.2 Legal Basis for Processing
Under the DPDPA, WanderSwipe processes personal data on the following lawful grounds:
- Consent (Section 6, DPDPA): The primary basis for processing is the free, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent of the Data Principal (user). Consent is sought at account registration and before the collection of optional data such as location. Users may withdraw consent at any time through account settings or by contacting privacy@wanderswipe.site. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
- Certain Legitimate Uses (Section 7, DPDPA): In limited circumstances, WanderSwipe may process personal data without consent where it constitutes a "certain legitimate use" as defined under Section 7 of the DPDPA, including: (a) compliance with a legal obligation or court order; (b) responding to a medical emergency; or (c) fulfilling employment-related obligations. WanderSwipe does not rely on "contractual necessity" or "legitimate interests" as independent grounds, as these are not recognised bases under the DPDPA.
21.3 Rights of Data Principals
As a Data Principal (user) under the DPDPA, you have the following rights, exercisable by contacting privacy@wanderswipe.site or through the in-app settings where available:
- Right to access information (Section 11): Request a summary of personal data processed and the identities of any Data Processors engaged.
- Right to correction and erasure (Section 12): Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data, or erasure of data no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
- Right to grievance redressal (Section 13): Lodge a complaint with the Grievance Officer (see Section 21.4 below). If the grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
- Right to withdraw consent (Section 6): Withdraw previously given consent at any time. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing conducted before withdrawal, but may affect your ability to use certain features.
- Right to nominate (Section 14): Nominate another individual to exercise rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
WanderSwipe will respond to requests within thirty (30) days. Requests may be submitted via the Platform's account settings (where available) or by emailing privacy@wanderswipe.site with the subject line "DPDPA Data Principal Request".
21.4 Grievance Officer
In accordance with the DPDPA and DPDP Rules, WanderSwipe has designated the following individual to handle privacy grievances from Data Principals:

- Response time: Grievances will be acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within thirty (30) days of receipt. If a grievance is not resolved to the Data Principal's satisfaction, the Data Principal may refer the matter to the Data Protection Board of India.
21.5 Children's Data
WanderSwipe does not knowingly collect or process personal data of individuals under 18 years of age. The DPDPA prohibits tracking, behavioural monitoring, and targeted advertising directed at children. WanderSwipe does not engage in any such processing. Where WanderSwipe becomes aware that personal data of a minor has been collected, it will delete that data promptly and take appropriate remedial action as described in Section 4 of this Policy.
21.6 Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach, WanderSwipe will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected Data Principals in accordance with the timelines and procedures prescribed under the DPDPA and DPDP Rules. Notifications will include the nature of the breach, categories of personal data affected, likely consequences, and the remedial measures taken or proposed.
21.7 Cross-Border Data Transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside India (for example, to cloud infrastructure or service providers operating in other jurisdictions), WanderSwipe will ensure that such transfers comply with any restrictions or conditions notified by the Government of India under the DPDPA. WanderSwipe will not transfer personal data to jurisdictions that have been restricted by the Central Government.
Appendix B – Google Play Data Safety Summary

- App interactions: Collected. Required. Used for analytics, personalisation, and service improvement. Shared with analytics service providers.
